Tinubu Failed To Cut Petrol Taxes To Ease Hardship, Unlike Germany – Atiku

  Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has said that, unlike Germany, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has failed to cut petrol taxes to ease the economic hardship Nigerians are facing. Atiku made this disclosure in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, on Friday. According to him, Nigerians have continued to suffer from high fuel prices, with the government failing in its most basic duty to protect ordinary Nigerians from crushing economic hardship. He noted that families are skipping meals, struggling to pay for transportation and watching their hard-earned money disappear before the month is over. Benue JNC Confirms Compliance With National Strike Directive

  The Benue State Joint National Public Negotiating Council (JNC) 1 and 2 have commenced a three-day warning strike in compliance with the directive of the national body. This was disclosed on Friday by the state chairman, Engr Aloysius Umaja, who said that although the circular arrived in Benue late, there was compliance. He said, “It is a national directive and we have sent circulars to all our members for compliance. The directive came yesterday and we got the formal letter in the evening. "We have circulated the circular but you know that sometimes because of the late arrival of that directives, I think there is a level of compliance and from my analysis, some persons didn’t get the information on time.” Umaja added, “But as far as the leadership is concerned, there is compliance. The three-day warning strike will end on Sunday and the national leadership will decide the next line of action.”
