No fewer than 10 people have been killed and several cows rustled in renewed violence in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State. The recent surge of violence in Riyom reportedly stemmed from farm destruction, cattle rustling, and attacks on livestock carried out by individuals from both Fulani and Berom communities. A statement from Operation Safe Haven disclosed that the recent insecurity in the council area began on Monday, May 12, 2025, when suspected youths slaughtered and rustled cattle that had encroached on their farms in Dayan village, Riyom Local Government Area. Retaliating, suspected Fulani herders attacked Danchindo village on the evening of May 13, killing at least 4 people before fleeing ahead of security operatives’ arrival. The Managing Director of Zeta-Web Nigeria and prominent figure in the ongoing Ezeship dispute in Eziama Ikeduru Autonomous Community, Imo State, Mr. Chris Anaelechi Obasi, has been reportedly abducted from his Lagos residence. The incident, which occurred at approximately 8 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, has thrown his family and associates into turmoil.  Mr. Obasi was allegedly taken to an unknown location by unidentified persons from his home in Ajah, Lagos State.   I have long thought  about this question and I know that many of us in Imo state are also asking the same thing.  What exactly is equity?  Is equity about who shouts the loudest?  Is it   about who has suffered the most? Or is it about correcting an injustice and restoring balance?  If we are to be honest to ourselves, Okigwe zone is the biggest victim of political injustice in Imo state.  The reality of the Imo Charter of Equity is that it was created to ensure that power rotates fairly among the three zones – Orlu, Okigwe and Owerri – so that no single zone dominates leadership. It was meant to give every zone a full and fair opportunity to govern.   Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan's husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has reacted to his wife's sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio Uduaghan who is the Alema of Warri Kingdom, Delta state, said his wife carried him along regarding the allegations and that he had approached the Senate president respectfully and urged him to extend his respect to her.  According to Natasha's husband, they agreed the issue would be resolved amicably but his wife had continued to express concerns about the level of harassment she allegedly experienced from Akpabio.

Elon Musk Welcomes 14th Child

  The CEO of X, Elon Musk, has welcomed his 14th child with Shivon Zilis, with whom he already has three children. Musk made this known in a joint announcement with Zilis on Friday. Zilis, who did not reveal when the baby was born, said his name is Seldon Lycurgus. In a post on her X handle, Zilis wrote: “Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share about our wonderful and incredible son, Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold.” In response, Musk simply replied with a love emoji.
