  In an interview with select journalists in Owerri, a front-line politician in Imo State and former Commissioner, Professor Vitalis Orikeze Ajumbe, a prominent son of Owerri zone stated that for peace and stability to reign in the State, Okigwe Zone should produce the next governor after the tenure of  Governor Hope Uzodimma. Community Development: CDB Williams Attracts NDDC Solar Powered Streetlights To Umuihugba, Umuodu

  Indigenes of Umuihugba/Umuodu in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area of Imo State have formerly handed over a Site Project to the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for the installation of 229 Solar Powered Streetlights in the community. The Solar Powered Streetlights project was attracted by the APC candidate for Owerri Federal Constituency in the 2023 election, Hon. CDB Williams.  The contracting firm handling the project is Cascade Engineering Systems Limited based in Port-Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State. The Site Handover ceremony was held at the residence of Hon. CDB Williams, No. 68 Ihugba Street, Owerri Municipal, on Tuesday.   By Nnamdi Nwadike Ever since a group of Imo traditional rulers were herded to the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, sometime ago, to do a march past, with the then First Lady of the state, Mrs. Nkechi Okorocha, taking the salute, the unappeased gods have remained unrelenting in pushing them from one "wombling " and "fumbling " to another. The latest is their ongoing dance to an orchestra renditioned by a clique of politicians in Owerri zone.  The lyrics is the purported promise made by the state governor, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, to hand over to a fellow from the (Owerri) zone at the end of his tenure in 2028. Governor Uzodimma is said to have made the promise during the campaigns leading to his reelection in November 2023 ostensibly in pursuit of the renewed Charter of Equity.
