Healthy Partnership with Egyptian Electricity Firm will boost power supply In Imo, says Arodiogbu
Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, who is the National Vice Chairman of APC in South East Zone, has stated that the healthy Partnership with Egyptian Electricity Firm will go a long way to boost power supply in Imo State.
He said the Governor has done well by entering into partnering with the Egyptian Company to enhance electricity supply in all parts of Imo State.
Arodiogbu stated that the move, if adequately implemented, would ginger people to effectively engage in meaningful and productive activities to enhance good living, peace, social security, comfort and conviviality.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday in Abuja, the APC National Officer commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for initiating the partnership between Orashi Electricity Company of Imo State and Madkour Group, which he said, is geared to increase the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity within the state, thereby "endearing resourcefulness, productivity, improving commerce and industry, development and socialization".
Arodiogbu, who affirmed that the partnership is a positive step towards achieving the state's goal of providing reliable and efficient electricity supply to the people, added that the deal is expected to address the pressing energy needs of the state, stressing that the feat "will lay the foundation for long-term industrial growth and prosperity".
He said he believes the Governor's vision and sense of reformation and edification, praising him for assuring Imo citizens that the partnership with the Egyptian Company would start yielding tangible and surplus results from January, 2025.
Notably, Governor Hope Uzodimma had, last week, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Madkour Group, a renowned energy equipment and solution provider, based in Cairo, Egypt.
