Arodiogbu Salutes Princess Owowoh For Graduating In Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Berkshire England

National Vice Chairman, South East Zone of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has saluted the 24-year old Imo born 2nd Lt. Princess Oluchukwu Owowoh, for Graduating in the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), in Berkshire, England, in flying colours.

Arodiogbu stated that, like General Yakubu Gowon and Lt. Col. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, 2nd Lt. Princess Oluchukwu Owowoh, as a female soldier, has made Igbos and Nigerians proud.

Arodiogbu who gave the salute in a release signed by his Special Adviser, Engr. Chike Emenike, on Sunday, in Abuja, the Capital Territory of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, described  Owowoh as a true Igbo breed.

According him him, "I join His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma, the Nigerian Arny and His Excellency and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to salute and congratulate this amazing young female officer who has done us proud.

"I also thank Her Excellency, the First Lady, Senator. Mrs. Remi Tinubu, who, on Monday, graciously hosted 2nd Lt. Owowoh, one of the 135 Officer Cadets that recently graduated, in recognition of her exemplary accomplishment.

"I would like to urge other young women in Imo State and, indeed, all over Nigeria, to emulate 2nd Lt. Princess Oluchukwu Owowoh and aspire to be the best in their chosen career."

Arodiogbu reflected that "the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst (RMAS) in Berkshire, England, has produced for the Nigerian Army, a long list of illustrious officers, the most prominent among which we recall just two - General Yakubu Gowon and Lt. Col. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu.

"The several others not mentioned are no less prominent and had all served our nation meritoriously in various capacities. But that special breed of officers had all been male soldiers. Then came 2nd Lt. Princess Oluchukwu Owowoh, the equation changer, a proud daughter of the land and a citizen of Imo State, who altered the tradition, to join the illustrious roll of RMAS produced army officers for Nigeria. She became the sole representative of the female gender within the RMAS alumni in the Nigerian Army.

"The 24-year old Owowoh, an indigene of Imo State, was one of the Officer Cadets to graduate during RMAS sovereign parade in London on April 12, 2024".
