Peter Obi Lost The 2023 Presidential Election, According To Wole Soyinka

Wole Soyinka, a Nobel Prize winner, asserted on Wednesday that Peter Obi did not prevail in the presidential vote on February 25, 2023.

Soyinka added that the Labour Party (LP) leadership understands that Obi did not win the election and is attempting to convince people of their lies.

At a gathering called "The Lives of Wole Soyinka — A Dialogue" put on by Africa in the World, the Nobel laureate made this statement.

On Wednesday, the event was held in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Soyinka was asked to respond to his post-general election remark on LP vice-presidential candidate Datti Baba-Ahmed as he was speaking at the event.

Soyinka stated that he cares about the truth, observing that many people are constantly seeking out short cuts.

When he entered a radio station in Ibadan in 1965, the Nobel laureate claimed he was equipped with facts.

He went on to say that he was not depending on "third-hand information" in regards to the outcome of the regional election from 1965.

In the run-up to the 2023 elections, Soyinka charged that the LP had taken control of the organized labor movement.

He stated that by shattering the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s (monopoly of power), Obi accomplished "something remarkable."

Soyinka stated, "First of all, two things happened during the most recent election. The labor movement, which is not my favorite movement, was taken over by one party, which later evolved into a regional party.

"However, it was an amazing breach into the two established camps. Peter Obi broke that mold, which was a fantastic accomplishment. He fell short of winning the election, though.

I can certainly state that Peter Obi's party finished third, not even second, and the leadership was aware of this. Despite this, they still wish to engage in what the Yoruba language refers to as "gbajue," which is a force of lies.

"They intended to send some of the staunchest, most arrogant youths out onto the street to demonstrate.

I'm also willing to participate in such protests, but only on the flag truthis vice presidential candidate can be seen bragging, insisting, threatening, and attempting to intimidate the court and the rest of society on television. This vice presidential candidate wanted the same thing to happen (referring to the 2011 post-election violence) on the basis of a falsehood.

What sort of government would emerge from that behavior? They were also being used, even if they were unaware of it.

There were also covert elements, including some ex-generals, who were already advocating for an interim administration prior to the election.

Some of them were well-known individuals, such as the owner of a university who called for an interim administration prior to the election.
