League Two Team: Former Burnley, Preston North End, And Luton Town Player Fired After 16 Appearances
Milton Keynes Dons Football Club has made the decision to part ways with head coach Graham Alexander, who was appointed in May after the club's relegation to League Two last season.
The club currently sits 16th in the league table, having failed to secure a victory in their last eight league games.
In a statement, the club expressed their gratitude for the dedication and hard work of both Graham Alexander and assistant head coach Chris Lucketti during their time at Stadium MK, wishing them the best in their future endeavors.
This managerial role was Graham Alexander's first since leaving Motherwell in July 2022.
He has previously managed clubs like Fleetwood Town, Scunthorpe United, and Salford City.
The decision to part ways with Alexander came after a disappointing draw against Barrow, where MK Dons squandered a two-goal lead, with both of Barrow's goals coming in stoppage time.
Alexander expressed his frustration during a post-match interview, highlighting the team's need to address issues in defending leads and maintaining composure during games.
He emphasized the importance of consistent daily actions and efforts, rather than relying on luck or hoping for miraculous turnarounds.
The club will now seek new leadership to address their challenges on the pitch.
