Bala Kona, A Former PDP Chairman, Has Passed Away In Abuja.

Victor Bala Kona, a former PDP chairman in Taraba State, has been officially pronounced dead.

The politician passed away in Abuja early on Sunday morning following a brief illness, according to theglobalnewsupdates.

Emmanuel Bello, the governor of Taraba State's media assistant, announced the death in a news release.

We lost a parent and a model family man, he continued, in addition to a political hero. The Hon. Victor Bala Kona will always be respected and will have a secure place in our history. His passing occurred at a time when his abundance of expertise and knowledge will be most required.

"I hereby extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and all of us left to mourn this upsetting and irreparable loss," he said.

Andeta'rang Irammae, the PDP's communications officer in the state, stated in a press release that the party is saddened by the news of the former Chairman's passing and prays to God to rest his soul.

His passing at this stage of our political journey is tragic and enormous because the government and party he had devotedly served would have continued to gain from his wellspring of knowledge and wisdom.

Kona presided over the party as chairman from March 2012 to August 2020. Before resigning to run for governor of the state on the party's platform and win, he turned over the party chairmanship to Governor Kefas.
