Locals Raid Warehouse And Steal Palliatives In Bayelsa
According to reports, several residents of Bayelsa State broke into a warehouse where palliatives were being stored in order to be given out to a particular set of people.
The warehouse along the Isaac Boro Expressway in Yenagoa, the state capital, was reportedly raided on Sunday, according to theglobalnewsupdates.
SaharaReporters claims that the elimination of the subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit, more commonly known as gasoline, caused hardship in the nation and enraged the populace.
Uncertainty exists regarding whether the warehouse that was stolen contained food supplies delivered to the states as promised by President Bola Tinubu's administration to lessen the impact of the elimination of fuel subsidies.
According to reports, the stolen palliatives were intended for the state's flood victims.
As of the time of publication, the state government had not yet made a statement regarding the occurrence.
