President Tinubu Is Present In An NBA Conference

On Sunday, President Bola Tinubu traveled to Abuja to attend the NBA's Annual General Conference.

The President had earlier on Friday hosted the NBA leadership, led by Yakubu Maikyau (SAN), at the Presidential Villa in Abuja and accepted an offer to proclaim open the association's 63rd Annual General Conference. This is according to theglobalnewsupdates.

The President promised at the conference on Friday that his administration will examine the pay of the nation's judges. 

The issue of corruption in the judiciary, according to Tinubu, will be addressed through the thorough evaluation of judicial officers' pay and benefits.

Given his historic success in overhauling the administration of justice in Lagos State, the President claimed to be completely knowledgeable about all judicial issues.

Alleged Homosexuality:"Fr Mario Remanded In Correctional Center.

  An Owerri magestarate court, last week, Friday, remanded "Fr. Mario Justus Chinonso Alozie" in  custody over allegations of homosexuality, but the case was adjourned to Wednesday, February 5,2025 , for consideration of his bail. "Fr.Mario"was arraigned before the magistrate presided by His Worship Doris Chukwuezi Ahanonu, on charges of -unnatural offence, contrary to section 214 of the Criminal Code; indecent treatment of boys under fourteen, contrary to section 216 of the Criminal Code and unlawful sexual interaction with a child, contrary to section 31, Child Rights Act,all related to homosexuality. However, the court ruled that  it lacked jurisdiction to hear the case and ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody until the issue of considering his bail is resolved.   Indigenes of Umuihugba/Umuodu in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area of Imo State have formerly handed over a Site Project to the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for the installation of 229 Solar Powered Streetlights in the community. The Solar Powered Streetlights project was attracted by the APC candidate for Owerri Federal Constituency in the 2023 election, Hon. CDB Williams.  The contracting firm handling the project is Cascade Engineering Systems Limited based in Port-Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.
