President Tinubu Welcomes Mary Phee, A US Representative, At Aso Rock.



At the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Saturday, President Bola Tinubu hosted Mary Phee, the US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs.

Phee met with President Tinubu, according to theglobalnewsupdates, to discuss US assistance to ECOWAS and other regional leaders in the reaction to the Niger issue.

In a conversation with the ECOWAS Chairman, Phee emphasized the support of the United States for the stance taken by ECOWAS in safeguarding democracy and constitutional order in West Africa and outlined the shared goals of maintaining the nation of Niger's fought-for democracy.

The US administration also demanded President Mohamed Bazoum's prompt release and recuperation, as well as that of his family and other members of his unjustly incarcerated government.
