Rail Accident: Lagos Retirees Demand Meeting With Gov Sanwo Olu

Under the new Contribution Pension Scheme NUP/CPS, members of the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of retirees, or NUP, have petitioned Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to meet with them to discuss the suffering of retirees in the state.

The petition's Chairman and General Secretary, respectively, Omisande Michael and Olagbaye Johnson, among others, stated, "We still have so many pending Pensions from 2020 to date.

The Lagos State NUP/CPS Sector is writing to draw your attention to the worrisome and appalling situation that Contributory Pensioners in Lagos State are currently facing.

There is an urgent need for your government to take swift action on these issues, and you should take action as a concerned citizen and social justice activist.
