Breaking: Shaibu, The Deputy Governor Of Edo, Is Not Allowed Access To The Government Office

On Monday, Philip Shaibu, the deputy governor of Edo State, was denied access to his office at Government House in Benin, the state's capital.

The gate leading to his office was locked when Shaibu arrived at the Government House on Monday, according to information obtained by theglobalnewsupdates.

Shaibu claims that he has not received a formal communication from the governor's office regarding the transfer of his office.

He added that the Governor's office is the appropriate place to provide a direction regarding the transfer to a new office.

Shaibu stated, "Up to this point, I have not received any official communication that I should relocate," during a phone chat with an unidentified person. My employees are the only ones with whom I have official contact. While I lack official communication, civil servants do. I'm standing by the gate while I speak to you right now.

The Office of the Deputy Governor's Permanent Secretary allegedly received a letter last week from the Head of Service's office, purportedly from Anthony Okungbowa, ordering Shuaibu to move to a new office at No. 7 Dennis Osadebey Avenue, GRA, Benin City.

Shaibu-related sources, however, asserted that the new office is deserted and in desperate need of renovation.

The latest development in the conflict between Governor Obaseki and his deputy is this one.

Despite rumors that Shaibu might be impeached, the Edo Assembly has refuted these claims.
