Davido Applauds Rema On His US Honor.

Davido, a well-known performer, complimented Rema for winning the first-ever "Best Afrobeats Song" award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in New Jersey, USA, on Tuesday night.

Rema won the award over Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, and others, according to The Nation.

Rema thanked the Nigerian music greats Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid for their contributions to afrobeats and for putting the genre on the international stage as he accepted his prize.

Alleged Homosexuality:"Fr Mario Remanded In Correctional Center.

  An Owerri magestarate court, last week, Friday, remanded "Fr. Mario Justus Chinonso Alozie" in  custody over allegations of homosexuality, but the case was adjourned to Wednesday, February 5,2025 , for consideration of his bail. "Fr.Mario"was arraigned before the magistrate presided by His Worship Doris Chukwuezi Ahanonu, on charges of -unnatural offence, contrary to section 214 of the Criminal Code; indecent treatment of boys under fourteen, contrary to section 216 of the Criminal Code and unlawful sexual interaction with a child, contrary to section 31, Child Rights Act,all related to homosexuality. However, the court ruled that  it lacked jurisdiction to hear the case and ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody until the issue of considering his bail is resolved.   Indigenes of Umuihugba/Umuodu in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area of Imo State have formerly handed over a Site Project to the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for the installation of 229 Solar Powered Streetlights in the community. The Solar Powered Streetlights project was attracted by the APC candidate for Owerri Federal Constituency in the 2023 election, Hon. CDB Williams.  The contracting firm handling the project is Cascade Engineering Systems Limited based in Port-Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.
