Dino Melaye Urges Support For Ilebaye Ahead Of The Grand Finale Of BBNaija All-Stars.

As the Big Brother Naija grand finale draws near, Senator Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor in Kogi State, has sought support for Ilebaye, a resident of the State and a housemate on the show.

Melaye, a two-term member of the National Assembly, made this appeal after Ilebaye's father paid him a visit on Monday at his Abuja home.

In the next Kogi State election on November 11, 2023, it's important to note that the PDP governorship candidate is the only contender having a female deputy governorship candidate.

Melaye announced his desire to vote for the Kogi-born housemate, who has already earned a spot in the reality TV show's "Top 5," on Monday night while posting a picture of the visit by Ilebaye's father to his verified social media accounts.

He emphasized that voting for the female BBNaija Season 8 housemate and current Head of House (HoH) is a vote for the entire Kogi State. He referred to her as "one of our own."



With the proud father of Big Brother Naija contestant Ilebaye, Melaye said. Everybody backs their own. Voting for Kogi State and Ilebaye is what I'll do.

Recall that Cross and Ilebaye, together with CeeC, qualified for the reality TV show's big finale, which is set for Sunday, October 1, 2023.

  An Owerri magestarate court, last week, Friday, remanded "Fr. Mario Justus Chinonso Alozie" in  custody over allegations of homosexuality, but the case was adjourned to Wednesday, February 5,2025 , for consideration of his bail. "Fr.Mario"was arraigned before the magistrate presided by His Worship Doris Chukwuezi Ahanonu, on charges of -unnatural offence, contrary to section 214 of the Criminal Code; indecent treatment of boys under fourteen, contrary to section 216 of the Criminal Code and unlawful sexual interaction with a child, contrary to section 31, Child Rights Act,all related to homosexuality. However, the court ruled that  it lacked jurisdiction to hear the case and ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody until the issue of considering his bail is resolved.
