Due To Impending Severe Weather And Heavy Rain, France Has Issued An Orange Alert.

France's weather service has issued a "orange alert" for 33 districts as the nation prepares for violent storms and copious amounts of rain.

The notice was issued on Sunday and is one notch below the highest level of danger due to the impending risk of flooding and the erratic weather that has already begun wreaking havoc in several areas of the country.

33 of France's 96 regions have been identified as being particularly vulnerable to the anticipated storms and downpours.

Significant flooding occurred in the southern Herault region on Saturday, and severe storms are wreaking havoc in the Paris suburbs.

Residents of these 33 regions have been encouraged by the agency to use caution and stay indoors.
