Jimmy Odukoya Takes Over As Fountain Of Life Church's Senior Pastor From His Father.

The Fountain of Life Church's senior pastor has been announced as Jimmy Odukoya, son of Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya.

The statement was made on Sunday during worship.

The late Taiwo Odukoya confided in the board of trustees (BoT) members about the succession plan after his passing, according to Rotimi Okpaise, a pastor speaking to the church.

Okpaise said that Jimmy was unanimously chosen by the BoT to serve as both the senior pastor and board chair.

Jimmy will be installed on Saturday, September 30, 2023, according to the board, he stated.

The church's founder, Odukoya, passed away in the United States of America on August 7 at the age of 67.

Odukoya passed away on November 9, 2021, little than two years after losing his South African-born wife Nomthi, following a two-year struggle with cancer.

Odukoya and Nomthi were married for 11 years and had two boys.

Odukoya was married to Bimbo for 21 years prior to Nomthi.

In the 2005 Sosoliso plane tragedy in Port Harcourt, the capital of the Rivers, Bimbo perished.

WHAT IS JIMMY?

Jimmy is an artist and performer from Nigeria. He portrayed the main character Oba Ade in the Netflix film "Woman King."

In addition, he has appeared in a number of films, including Oga Pastor, I Am Nazzy, and Lifting the Veil.

He is a motivational speaker in addition to being an actor.

  An Owerri magestarate court, last week, Friday, remanded "Fr. Mario Justus Chinonso Alozie" in  custody over allegations of homosexuality, but the case was adjourned to Wednesday, February 5,2025 , for consideration of his bail. "Fr.Mario"was arraigned before the magistrate presided by His Worship Doris Chukwuezi Ahanonu, on charges of -unnatural offence, contrary to section 214 of the Criminal Code; indecent treatment of boys under fourteen, contrary to section 216 of the Criminal Code and unlawful sexual interaction with a child, contrary to section 31, Child Rights Act,all related to homosexuality.
