News Flash: The Kaduna Governorship Election Tribunal Will Use Zoom To Deliver Its Ruling.

In a modern twist to legal proceedings, the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Kaduna State is poised to deliver its judgment today through a Zoom session. The courtroom has been equipped for the transmission of the judgment proceeding via Zoom, embracing technology to facilitate this crucial legal event.

This particular petition was initiated by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Isah Mohammed Ashiru, challenging the election of Uba Sani from the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Governor of Kaduna State. The outcome of this judgment will determine whether Uba Sani's election as Governor stands.

Notably, this approach is reminiscent of a recent case in Kano, where the governorship election petition tribunal also utilized Zoom to deliver its judgment. In that case, Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) was removed as the governor, with Yusuf Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress (APC) affirmed as the rightful winner.

This use of technology in legal proceedings marks a significant shift in how such matters are handled and reflects the adaptability of the legal system to changing times.
