News Flash: NLC And TUC Convene To Announce Nationwide Indefinite Strike

 


At a press conference today at 3 p.m., the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) will jointly announce a statewide indefinite strike.

According to theglobalnewsupdates, the decision to go on strike was made after the two labor centers reconciled their disagreements and decided to form a united front.

The NLC had previously gone on a two-day warning strike on September 5 and 6 to protest the Federal Government's elimination of the fuel subsidy.

The TUC has joined the NLC in calling an indefinite strike despite not taking part in the warning strike.

The NLC and TUC are urging the Federal Government to address additional socioeconomic challenges that Nigerians are facing.
