Bus Crashes Into River, Security Personnel Start Searching In Ogun
Theglobalnewsupdates has learned that a Sienna bus smashed into the Omu river in Ogun State on Saturday.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) told reporters that one of its agents in the Ogbere outpost had received word from an eyewitness that "a Toyota Sienna plunged into the Omo Bridge River."
"Consistent efforts of MTD Ogbere Division, Mobile Police from J4, and FRSC Ogbere Outpost could not establish any skid mark nor trace where the vehicle plunged into the river," stated Florence Okpe, an FRSC spokesman in Ogun State.
But Okpe revealed that a local diver had been found in J4 Town, and "one male adult was rescued alive."
She claims that the victim has been recovered and is doing well under care at Hope Clinic in J4.
The "rescue operation is still ongoing," according to a statement from Okpe.
According to theglobalnewsupdates, Ogun State has seen an upsurge in the number of instances of automobiles entering various waterways.
