Peter Obi Advises "Obidients" To Hold Onto Hope Because Nothing Worthwhile Comes Easily.
In spite of the presidential election tribunal's decision to reject the Labour Party's (LP) challenge to Bola Tinubu's election victory, Peter Obi, the party's candidate for president in the general elections of 2023, has urged his supporters to remain steady.
Obi remarked that there has been dissatisfaction among his fan base at the ruling in a message he put on his X page on Saturday.
But he added that despite their despair, "Obidients'" desire of seeing a new Nigeria "remains alive for all times."
Since the tribunal's decision, there has been a pervasive air of despondency among Obidients and the majority of our supporters. We will not give up or give in on this road, I can guarantee you everyone, declared the former governor of Anambra.
He continued, "Today, I want to personally reach out to you all and encourage you to never give up on hope. Dejection is not an option when faced with the obstacles our movement faces today. Nothing worthwhile occurs naturally.
"Throughout history, progress has only been made by sacrifice, tenacity, fortitude, and resilience in the face of changing circumstances.
I warned you all that our path would be a lengthy and arduous marathon rather than a quick sprint right at the beginning. There was no doubt that it would be challenging, uncomfortable, and agonizing.
Despite the fact that the forces we are up against are well-entrenched and formidable, they are not unbeatable, therefore we started out with full knowledge of this. They tried to coerce us into giving up or giving up hope by fighting the wind of change. We can't give into their strategy.
"I am motivated by how we have overcome all of the challenges in our way. We have endured for such a brief period of time that we are now at a place where we cannot be disregarded. I therefore kindly request that you persevere and never consider giving up.
