Tottenham's Acquisition Of Luka Vuskovic May Allow Ivan Perisic To Leave.
Luka Vuskovic, a highly regarded young center back, is expected to sign with Tottenham, which would allow Ivan Perisic to join Hajduk Split in January.
Spurs' signing of the 16-year-old Vuskovic, one of Croatia's most exciting prospects, represents a significant victory over teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester City.
He won't be 18 until 2025, but for the time being, he gives Hajduk leverage in its chase of Perisic.
Since Ange Postecoglou took over in north London, the 34-year-old winger has been on the outside looking in, appearing off the bench in each of his first four Premier League games.
With his current Tottenham deal set to expire at the end of the current campaign, Perisic is currently weighing his alternatives. Hajduk think they are first in line to re-sign their former academy player, and they might act as soon as the January transfer market opens.
Meanwhile, Vuskovic, who made the first team in the spring, will keep playing for Hajduk. Just five days after turning 16 years old, he scored the club's youngest goal of the previous season. He also contributed to the Croatian Cup victory of Ivan Leko's team.
