Gov. Alia pleaded With The Labor Unions To Have Patience.

In response to the looming threat of a nationwide industrial action by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Unions Congress (TUC), the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has appealed to union leaders to reconsider their plans and exercise patience.

He assured them that the government is working tirelessly to meet their demands, particularly in terms of regular payment of pensions, gratuity, and public workers' salaries.

Governor Alia emphasized his commitment to transparency and merit-based governance, steering away from propaganda and political blackmail.

The governor highlighted achievements in his administration, such as the procurement of subsidized fertilizer for farmers, road construction projects, ICT training for youths, and efforts to maintain peace and security in the state.

He expressed determination to combat criminality and address communal clashes, with plans for a peace master plan and security measures at the state's border areas.

Governor Alia also urged Benue youths to participate in ICT training to secure a self-reliant future, discouraging them from trekking to honor individuals in other cities.
