Regina Daniels Pays Tribute To The On-Screen Mother, Mercy Johnson

Actress Regina Daniels has expressed her deep appreciation and admiration for her senior colleague and on-screen mom, Mercy Johnson-Okojie. 

Regina, affectionately known as Gina, praised Mercy for her significant role in her acting career and the inspiration she has been.

Regina shared fond memories of her childhood, when she would proudly tell her primary schoolmates that Mercy Johnson was her biological mother due to the immense love and support she received from her. 

She credited Mercy with guiding and correcting her whenever she needed it.

Reuniting with Mercy on a movie set brought back nostalgic feelings for Regina. 

She shared a clip of memorable moments from their time together on set and expressed her desire to meet her "queen" Mercy again in person.

Regina also praised Mercy for her compassion, humility, and exemplary role as a wife and mother. 

She expressed her gratitude for having someone like Mercy in her life and vowed to continue making both her film mom, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, and her biological mother, Rita Daniels, proud.

This heartfelt message highlights the strong bonds that can form within the entertainment industry and the impact senior colleagues can have on the careers and lives of younger actors.

Alleged Homosexuality:"Fr Mario Remanded In Correctional Center.

  An Owerri magestarate court, last week, Friday, remanded "Fr. Mario Justus Chinonso Alozie" in  custody over allegations of homosexuality, but the case was adjourned to Wednesday, February 5,2025 , for consideration of his bail. "Fr.Mario"was arraigned before the magistrate presided by His Worship Doris Chukwuezi Ahanonu, on charges of -unnatural offence, contrary to section 214 of the Criminal Code; indecent treatment of boys under fourteen, contrary to section 216 of the Criminal Code and unlawful sexual interaction with a child, contrary to section 31, Child Rights Act,all related to homosexuality. However, the court ruled that  it lacked jurisdiction to hear the case and ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody until the issue of considering his bail is resolved.   Indigenes of Umuihugba/Umuodu in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area of Imo State have formerly handed over a Site Project to the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for the installation of 229 Solar Powered Streetlights in the community. The Solar Powered Streetlights project was attracted by the APC candidate for Owerri Federal Constituency in the 2023 election, Hon. CDB Williams.  The contracting firm handling the project is Cascade Engineering Systems Limited based in Port-Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.
