Sacked Senator, Abbo: "Akpabio Has No Hand In Your Removal."
Eseme Eyiboh, the spokesperson for Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has refuted claims that Akpabio was involved in the removal of Senator Elisha Abbo from the National Assembly.
This comes in response to Abbo's assertion that his removal was due to his support for Senator Abdulaziz Yari in the Senate President election, which Akpabio ultimately won.
The Appeal Court in Abuja recently delivered a judgment that removed Abbo and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue a Certificate of Return to Amos Yohanna of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the duly elected lawmaker representing Adamawa North.
Eyiboh strongly rejected Abbo's claims, stating that it is unfair for Abbo to direct his frustrations towards Senator Akpabio.
He emphasized that Akpabio harbors no ill will towards his colleagues and that the past differences related to leadership elections have been replaced by a spirit of nation-building and a strong bond among senators.
This response underscores the need to rely on the rule of law and the legal process to evaluate facts and evidence in such matters.
