Sen. Ubah Switches To The APC

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, representing Anambra under the Young Progressive Party (YPP), has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

Ubah cited irreconcilable differences within the YPP as the reason for his decision to join the APC. 

He expressed his belief that the APC better reflects his values and aspirations, emphasizing the party's commitment to good governance, economic development, and social progress as key factors for his defection. 

Senator Ubah also mentioned his appreciation for the "Renewed Hope" initiative of APC leader Bola Tinubu and his desire to work collaboratively with his colleagues in the APC for positive change in Nigeria.

Alleged Homosexuality:"Fr Mario Remanded In Correctional Center.

  An Owerri magestarate court, last week, Friday, remanded "Fr. Mario Justus Chinonso Alozie" in  custody over allegations of homosexuality, but the case was adjourned to Wednesday, February 5,2025 , for consideration of his bail. "Fr.Mario"was arraigned before the magistrate presided by His Worship Doris Chukwuezi Ahanonu, on charges of -unnatural offence, contrary to section 214 of the Criminal Code; indecent treatment of boys under fourteen, contrary to section 216 of the Criminal Code and unlawful sexual interaction with a child, contrary to section 31, Child Rights Act,all related to homosexuality. However, the court ruled that  it lacked jurisdiction to hear the case and ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody until the issue of considering his bail is resolved.   Indigenes of Umuihugba/Umuodu in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area of Imo State have formerly handed over a Site Project to the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for the installation of 229 Solar Powered Streetlights in the community. The Solar Powered Streetlights project was attracted by the APC candidate for Owerri Federal Constituency in the 2023 election, Hon. CDB Williams.  The contracting firm handling the project is Cascade Engineering Systems Limited based in Port-Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.
