Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is facing criticism for his performances since joining the club from Inter during the summer transfer window. 

Mark Goldbridge, a presenter for talkSPORT and The United Stand, had made optimistic claims about Onana when he signed for Manchester United, but recent performances have raised questions.

Onana arrived at Old Trafford for a significant fee of £47.2 million with high expectations. 

However, he has been under scrutiny for his recent displays. 

In a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League, he was partially at fault for Mauro Icardi's winning goal shortly after escaping a missed penalty situation.

The goalkeeper's struggles included a loose backpass that led to a penalty and Casemiro's sending off earlier in the match. 

Despite these challenges, Manchester United's manager, Erik Ten Hag, expressed support for Onana, highlighting that he believes in the goalkeeper's abilities.

Mark Goldbridge, who had previously praised Onana as a transformative signing for Manchester United, is now facing criticism for his earlier statements. 

Onana's recent statistics show room for improvement, including a low save percentage and some difficulties with passing accuracy.

Despite these high-profile mistakes and shaky displays, it's important to remember that Onana is not the sole factor contributing to Manchester United's recent struggles. 

Fans will hope that he can regain his form in the coming weeks and months to fulfill the earlier expectations placed on him.

  An Owerri magestarate court, last week, Friday, remanded "Fr. Mario Justus Chinonso Alozie" in  custody over allegations of homosexuality, but the case was adjourned to Wednesday, February 5,2025 , for consideration of his bail. "Fr.Mario"was arraigned before the magistrate presided by His Worship Doris Chukwuezi Ahanonu, on charges of -unnatural offence, contrary to section 214 of the Criminal Code; indecent treatment of boys under fourteen, contrary to section 216 of the Criminal Code and unlawful sexual interaction with a child, contrary to section 31, Child Rights Act,all related to homosexuality.
