Why Former Player Eden Hazard Chose Chelsea Over Manchester United And Man City

Eden Hazard has announced his retirement from football at the age of 32.

His career was marred by injuries, particularly during his time at Real Madrid, where he made just 76 appearances and scored seven goals due to a series of muscle and ankle injuries.

Hazard will be best remembered for his dazzling seven-year stint at Chelsea, where he won two Premier League titles and numerous individual awards.

However, it's worth noting that his career could have taken a different path had he chosen to join Manchester United or Manchester City instead.

Hazard initially rose to prominence at Lille and attracted interest from top clubs.

Sir Alex Ferguson even watched him play before a United game, expressing interest in signing him.

However, the dramatic turn of events led to Hazard's announcement that he would join the Champions League winners, which turned out to be Chelsea.

In a 2019 interview, Hazard explained why he chose Chelsea over other English clubs, citing conversations with owner Roman Abramovich, manager Roberto Di Matteo, and recommendations from players like Didier Drogba and Joe Cole.

Despite his struggles after leaving Chelsea, Hazard made it clear that he would never play for another English club, emphasizing his deep connection to the Blues.

While there were recent rumors of a potential return to the Premier League, Hazard's commitment to Chelsea remained unwavering, making it clear that he could never play for another English team.
